Alligator Festival

Welcome to the web site of the Alligator Festival, an annual non-profit event in Columbia County Florida in memory of the time between 1817 and 1859 when Lake City Florida was called Alligator. Our event features both a modern Native American gathering (pow wow) and a 19th century living history reenactment of the Battle of San Felasco Hammock, complete with period camps and demonstrators.
2010 dates are Friday Oct 29th - Sunday Oct 31st, 2010
2011 and beyond is the second full weekend (Fri-Sun) every October (School groups are welcome all weekend long but are especially encouraged on Friday)
We are excited to announce that the Alligator Festival has moved to O'Leno State Park.
